This past weekend I was able to spend a 4 day weekend up in Kennebunkport, Maine. Kennebunkport is one of my favorite towns to take a quick trip to. The resort options are fabulous, there is tons of great food, the downtown is perfect and filled with the cutest shop, and to top it off the beach is excellent! We typically spend at least one weekend there every year. This past weekend the weather was beautiful and we were able to hit a lot of my favorite home decor and garden stores as well as a couple of new ones.
Snug Harbor Farm is one stop I always insist on making. They are known for their topiary and I always leave with at least one. Keeping them alive is something I am still working on! On the property there are chickens, mini-horses, greenhouses filled with the most gorgeous plants, and a little store filled with plants and other decorative items.

They had the cutest little flock of baby geese running around:
Loved this little set-up of potted plants outside the shop entrace:
Some myrtle topiaryies in one of the greenhouses:
Lemon cyprus topiaries in the shop:
Little display of succulents on a plant stand
I love this idea of planting lettuce in small pots and placing them around your property. I have had lots of chipmunk's eating my veggies this year so I am going to try this:
Some lavendar topiaries:
Potted geraniums look great when set up in such a large quantity:
Succulents planted in a faux clam shell:
Large rosemary topiary:
Another store right down the road from Snug Harbor Farm that I always pop in is Antiques on Nine.
I love the corner detail on the flange of this blue zebra pillow:

This lamp was a great turquoise color and had the cutest custom lampshade made from a map!
The ikat pillow were actually made from needlepoint and had a great buttery yellow velvet back:
I always love a cobalt blue lamp. Especially one with a lucite base:
Outside the store they have great vintage garden pieces like this cherub statue:
A bit outside of two we stopped into this newer home decor store. I can't recall the name of the store but I love some of the chairs they had. They were upholstered in great fabrics and were perfect for a beach house. This traditional rolled arm chair looked so inviting in this bright floral with a bright pink welt:
I love the splatter paint fabric on this chair. So much fun! Would be great in a kids room or a play room:
This fabric on this chair was so cool. It had great beach scenes:
Great shell encrusted table at Antiques on Nine:
