Decorating a Breakfast Nook

One of my clients is looking for furniture for their breakfast nook.  The nook is in a little wing off the kitchen and all three walls are have large windows and doors that look out onto their beautiful backyard. The room gets so much natural light and is such a cheery space.  We painted the room a light gray and it is so refreshing!
In the space right now they have some really classic pieces.  A white, round Saarinen table with four light blue Eames chairs.  The set, particularly the blue chairs, looks great in the space but the table is way too small.  So, we decided to move it upstairs to the kid's rec room and have it be a place for homework and games.  Now we are on the hunt for a new table and chairs for their breakfast nook.

This past weekend we went out shopping to see what we could find for the breakfast nook. Since we loved the way the blue Eames chairs looked in the space we thought we could look for chairs with some color.  One option we came up with was to order another Saarinen table in a larger size and add fun chairs.  We were looking at a blue or green colored windsor style chair with a modern squared off back.  Classic chairs updated with a sleeker profile and a pop of color.

Another option (which is my favorite!) is to use this table from Oly Studios with some chippendale style chairs.  The wife also loves this table so it is a possibility.  There are a few companies that make these updated faux bamboo chairs like Jonathan Adler and Bungalow 5.  They can be ordered in basic black or white or a bunch of fun, bright colors like the bright green below.  Unfortunately, the chairs backs are not the most comfy so they were ruled out but the table is still in the running.  We may pair it with the windsor style chairs above in a blue color.

Another table we are considering is this table from Redford House.  To me is has a bit of an updated farmhouse feel.  The lines are clean and simple but the washed gray finish relaxes it.  We haven't seen it in person so they are a bit hesitant to order it but everyone really likes the look of it.  I am loving wicker, woven style chairs with this table.  These below are copies of bistro chairs that are traditionally used in Paris.  They are made of synthetic rattan so they are soft and also easy to clean.

Another woven faux wicker chair that I like is this blue one below from Crate and Barrel. It is actually an outdoor chair so it is also easy to clean.  I love this shade of blue with the gray tones of the tables finish but I haven’t seen it person so I a m wondering if it looks too much like outdoor furniture?

So....what would you choose?  Coming up with options is the easy part.  It's the narrowing it down and actually committing to the ordering of pieces (most of which can't be returned!) that is a lot more difficult.
